You got the kind of lovin’ that can be so Smoothie

Blueberry Banana Smoothie

“Man, it’s a hot one
Like seven inches from the midday sun
Well, I hear you whisper and the words melt everyone
But you stay so cool”
-Smooth, by Santana

Rob Thomas and Santana ain’t (yeah I use that word sometimes) got nothing on this frozen breakfast milkshake. Well, they do musically, but regardless, this smoothie is good enough to make anyone break into song.

Once you figure out the best way to operate your new blender, this fusion of frozen fruit, Greek Yogurt, and sweet green tea cubes results in a refreshing violet drink that will get your morning off to a smooth start.

1 Nectarine
1 Frozen Banana
1 ½ Cups Frozen Blueberries
1 Cup Almond Milk
1 Cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt
6-8 Sweet Green Tea Ice Cubes
– 2 Cups Water
– 4 Green Tea Bags
– ½ Cup Honey (Or desired sweetness)

To make the sweet green tea cubes:
Add the ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil, stirring the honey in to dissolve
Remove from heat and allow to cool
Pour into ice cube trays and freeze overnight
This will yield more than you need for one batch of smoothies, so you will have plenty

Dice up the nectarine and the banana
Add the ingredients to a blender

Depending on how powerful your blender is, you might need to add and blend the ingredients in stages
Blend the ingredients

The blueberries steal the show by seeping their rich violet ink into the smoothie. Enjoy on-the-go by pouring into a mason jar and using these fun special lids!
